Grant-Making Officer, East London Community Foundation
Salary: £25,370-£27,884 p.a. F/T (pro rata for part-time posts)
Job Overview: Vacancies for one full-time or two part-time grant-making officers to enable community groups in East and North East London to access grant funding through the Foundation. The role involves promoting and running the Grassroots Grants programme in four boroughs, as well as other smaller funding streams, working closely with the Grant-making Manager. Hackney Doorways is the new umbrella organisation to the long established Hackney Winter Night Shelter (HWNS) which for
sixteen years has cared for homeless guests during January,
February and March.
To enable us to extend the care we offer to sustain former guests of HWNS throughout the rest of the year Hackney Doorways has been created.
We are searching for a fully qualified accountant to help with the following:
*Producing annual financial reports for the Charity Commission and Companies House, using information on income and expenditure provided by the Treasurer.
*Assisting with reclaiming tax on Gift Aid donations.
*Occasional advice to the Trustees on financial matters
