The Facts

From April 2017, the Apprenticeship Levy requires all employers operating in the UK who are paying an annual salary bill of over £3 million to pay an additional 0.5% levy on their salary bill. The levy can only be spent to fund training and assessment of apprentices. Levy payments will be taken from the organisations in scope from 1 April 17 through the government's new Digital Apprenticeship Service.
