About this Course

This topic teaches you to work with most of the Microsoft office packages and IT skills that are required in today’s modern and digital offices. It makes you more productive, confident, and satisfied with your job.

You will learn latest Microsoft office packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher and are able to manage online data. Microsoft Office programs are used in most administrative positions, regardless of industry. Industry-recognized skills will boost your resume and increase your earning potential.

Today’s technology lead lives expect you to make use of IT tools for activities most of which are complex and non-routine, you should be able to devise solutions in the use of IT tools in order to improve productivity, take considerable responsibility and autonomy, and be prepared to offer support and advice to others.

All our courses have one or more mandatory units and a choice of additional units.

Course content is tailored for you (and your employer) and the list of units outlined here are a guide only. Units covered will also depend on your prior learning and credit requirement. If there is something specific that you are interested in learning, please discuss this with your tutor during induction.


What if I don't have the entry requirements for a course?

There are other courses available to help you build up the skills and qualifications you need to be eligible for our courses. Please get in touch to discuss this further!


Which level can I study?

During your appointment assessment, we will help you work out which course will be the most suitable for you based on your results, previous experiences and interests.


Will my course cost?

This depends on age and a few other factors:

  • If you are 14-18 years old (young person) your courses will be completely free, regardless of which or how many courses you do.
  • If you are 19-23 years old your first course will be free, however your next course will cost.
  • If you are 24 years and older all courses will cost a fee.
