Connected Leaders is a leadership programme with a single aim: to help you develop as an inspired, confident and effective education leader.

Programme Overview

The Third Sector is leading the way in the development of its managers. Its leaders recognise that navigating these rapidly changing times requires innovation, entrepreneurialism and values-driven growth - all areas where the Third Sector excels.

To help us through the changing times ahead, our sector needs individualised, responsive and accessible training that recognises both the unique skills and the unique challenges within our sector: the diversity of staff and the diversity of experience; the diverse demands of job roles, the time pressures. And through a comprehensive suite of short face-to-face and online learning modules, that's exactly what Connected Leaders provides.

The Connected Leaders experience will help you lead, manage, inspire and innovate in these rapidly changing and increasingly challenging times.

Who is the programme for?

Our course is targeted at three types of third sector leader in the adult education sector:

  • Senior managers looking to challenge and refresh their approach to leadership and management
  • Middle managers looking to hone their craft and get the absolute best out of their current team
  • Aspiring managers looking to develop successful, inclusive strategies to support a team

    Content
    Resilience for individuals, teams and organisations during change using mindfulness, growth mindset and trust.

    Learning Outcomes

    • To introduce concepts and tools from mindfulness, coaching and fierce conversations that can be used to build resilience in individuals, teams and organisations
    • Describe the benefits and limits of using mindful approaches in building resilience
    • Use at least 2 techniques to develop personal resilience
    • Identify productive and unproductive behaviour
    • Examine the importance of effective feedback
    • Recognise where reframing language and situations can change outcomes
    • Identify links between coaching approaches, questioning techniques and the impact on resilience
