Tower Hamlets Community Cohesion Project
Through our Tower Hamlets Community Cohesion Project, we support marginalised migrant women in Tower Hamlets to improve their English skills, gain confidence, and get involved in their communities. We deliver the project in venues across Bethnal Green and the Isle of Dogs. Our community cohesion programme supports migrant women to:
develop language skills and confidence through free English classes and skills sharing workshops
get involved in their community through volunteering at local organisations
participate in community leadership training and organise campaigns for change in their local area
ELATT's Community Cohesion programme also brings diverse groups together: migrant women attend and host community lunches, participate in employability workshops run by corporate volunteers, and build confidence at workshops facilitated by local arts practitioners.
