ELATT and Mimecast: A Partnership for a Sustainable Future and Global Impact

We are thrilled to announce that ELATT has been featured in Mimecast's annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report for 2023. We're proud to work with Mimecast and extremely grateful for their support in aiding our students' development and growth. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to fostering sustainable practices, equipping our students with the skills they need to thrive in the modern world, and making a positive impact on our global community. Our collaboration with Mimecast not only provides our students with invaluable real-world experience but also contributes to the broader goals of workforce development and community resilience.

Real-World Experience for Our Students

This year, ELATT has embarked on an exciting journey with Mimecast, a renowned leader in email security and cyber resilience. Our partnership centres around a comprehensive project that focuses on green energy and the office environment. This collaboration is part of our Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) offered to our Level 3 students, serving as a steppingstone to university and the working world.

Our partnership with Mimecast offers our students the unique opportunity to work on real-world projects, granting them invaluable experience and additional UCAS points. All EPQ students are working towards a common objective but are divided into teams, each with a specific brief.

For instance, our Digital Media students are focusing on digital marketing for the project. Business Administration students are working on strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of the office environment. Meanwhile, Computer Engineering students are investigating and recommending environmentally friendly technologies, potentially even developing new systems.

Recognition in Mimecast's ESG Report 

Mimecast's ESG report for 2023 highlights our partnership. Being featured in this report is an honour for ELATT, and we are proud to be recognized for our efforts in providing quality education and contributing to sustainable practices.

In the report, Mimecast celebrates the success of its global Corporate Social Responsibility Program, which has now exceeded $1.4 million in corporate grants. ELATT is proud to be part of this initiative, standing alongside Mimecast's other partners in the commitment to workforce development for underrepresented communities and the resilience of underserved communities.

Mimecast also share information about its partnership with ELATT in the UK to support talent across all abilities. This aligns with Mimecast's internal work to create an inclusive workforce that prioritizes accessibility. Our partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration in driving forward inclusive and sustainable practices.

We are excited about the innovative solutions our students will bring to the table in this collaboration with Mimecast. As we continue to work towards a sustainable future, we are confident that our students will lead the way with their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
